I'm a Web Designer

in a graphic designer's, musician's, soccer fanatic's & seo ninja's body.

I create user-centered websites, employing usability guidelines, wireframes and prototypes. I'm an obsessively neat xHTML coder, with a wealth of cross-browser quirks knowledge.

I'm passionate about typography, grid-based design and most importantly- keeping things clear and simple. I don't just "make things pretty". I analyse problems, and if "pretty" is the best solution, then "pretty" it'll be. At the same time I appreciate design with simplicity at it's core, and I know users do too.

I get results because my clients trust me to understand their problem & provide the best possible solution.

Bio: Ian Hart

I was born and raised in Kentucky. Graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychology in 2003 from Eastern Kentucky University. I got my first professional job with Lexmark that same year.

I got my start into web sites at my last 'corporate' job with IBM in 2005, building internal intranet sites for our Help files. That led to designing sites for local musicians and friends.

Eventually, I decided to go back to school to get some 'official' training in print & web design. I completed dual degrees in 2008 and launched Ian Hart Design.

Since our launch things have grown tremendously. We now have clients all over the US and even a few in Germany. We specialize in unique, effective web sites and organic SEO leads to grow your business.

I also work as a consultant. Most recently with Building Blocks Publications to lead their web, print & SEO marketing divisions.
